A feminist collective working on the intersectionality of feminism, human rights, and technology.
↘ We challenge dominant discourses
To whom technology belongs to and whom does it serve? As much as women and gender minorities have taken parts in the advancement of technology from the very beginning, technology is built upon asymmetrical power to control and dominate. We are here to reclaim the space.
↘ We center womxn and nurture radical imaginations
Technology is built upon both computational and social logics. While the current norms subordinate women and other gender minorities further from the central of the sphere, our works create spaces for critical perspectives and imaginations of liveable, care-based alternative futures.
↘ We re-write the story and distribute feminist knowledge
We believe in intersectionality. We hold spaces for diverse lived experiences, perspectives, and understandings of women and gender minorities in navigating their realities and overcoming structural oppressions which are within, facilitated, and accelerated by technology.

Technology is not neutral.
Technology is the extension of our on-ground struggles. PurpleCode works towards feminist technology where women, gender minorities, and other oppressed groups get together to express, organize, and mobilize. We are here to interrogate the politics of technology through a feminist lens.
